OPTERNA ACQUIRES WGD AND STRENGTHENS ITS POSITION AS A LEADING INNOVATOR IN FIBER OPTIC AND COPPER CABLE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
OPTERNA is proud to announce that it has acquired majority shares in WGD Datentechnik AG of Bickenbach Germany, as of May 3rd, 2018. Through this acquisition, “OPTERNA WGD AG” will become the European competence center for OPTERNA from its location in Bickenbach, Germany.
OPTERNA WGD will offer engineering, system integration and manufacturing capabilities for the European Datacenter, FTTX and LAN markets. The combination of OPTERNA’s global manufacturing capability and WGD’s central location in Europe will make OPTERNA WGD a powerhouse for high performance copper and fiber optic connectivity solutions.
