Opterna High Performance Tap Couplers are used to
tap light from a fiber line, to monitor the signals. It is
used in Erbium doped fiber amplifiers (EDFA) and telecommunication
networks for monitoring the signal
strength of different channels. Manufactured using
state-of the- art Fused Bi-conical Taper process (FBT),
they exhibit uniform performance over entire optical
spectrum from 1260 to 1600nm with near zero loss.
The epoxyfree optical path provides good power
handling capability.
