Opterna AM, Inc today announced that the Technical
Standards Committee of the Rural Utilities Service of the United States Department of Agriculture
had accepted a portfolio of AM Networks’ Fiber Management Systems as part of the List of
Acceptable Materials.
This notification of acceptance will allow carriers who participate in Rural Development Agency’s
Telecommunications Program the option to purchase this portfolio of products under the “Buy
America” provision.

RUS”, said Javad (Jay) Hassan, President and CEO, Opterna AM. “This acceptance will mean that
rural carriers can now have access to innovative designs that have already been deployed in some
of the largest FTTx projects in the world”.
Fiber Management Systems is part of Opterna AM’s product line that is uniquely positioned to
address carrier requirements in fast-growing communications markets segments such as FTTX,
IPTV, mobile backhaul and telemedicine.
The portfolio of products that have been accepted by the Rural Utilities Service will be included in
the next revision of the RUS List of Acceptable Materials under section Sj-b.
